With the textures, I knew I wanted two. One harsh and more intimidating and one just a soft fuzz. After all the experimentation, I knew the textures that I felt were most successful were the ones with a chalky consistency. With that in mind, I focused on the use of pastels, charcoal and chalk-pastel pencils. This time I also experimented with the use of textured paper. I created multiple iterations of each texture and converted them to gifs to see how they would work in motion. In the end I chose the two textures that best communicated the feeling I wanted to convey.
