This section covers me experimenting with type and layout for the title and credits. I was very much in two minds about how to approach typography. On the one hand I had this really personal story with very friendly visuals, but on the other hand I was addressing a real matter that I wanted to be taken seriously. Here you will see the thoughts behind my final decision.
Credits
Layout
In these thumbnails you can see me experimenting with what the credit pages could look like. I experimented with poses, content and layout. I made sure to keep the placement of the text in mind in these sketches. There are a few ideas from this that I found quite successful that I later developed into the final credits.

A Pompadour Sample
Friendly feel but too bold
for the messaging.
Amatic SC
Nice for the title but too
loud for the end credits.
Avenir Next
Rounded and friendly but
too blocky and robotic.
Quicksand
Friendly and rounded but too
happy looking for the message.
Indie Flower
Very personal feel but not
serious enough for the title.
Little Days
Personal and pretty but not
clear enough for the credits.
Josefin Sans Thin
In the end I decided to go with a typeface that felt approachable
rather than friendly. The meaning of the title and the messaging
at the end is serious in contrast to the feel of the film itself.
I wanted the typeface to support this.
