In the experimental section you’ll have seen the range of poses and different shots I experimented with. There are over 100 photos in that section. This section shows all the tiny tweaks and iterations of each photo it took to get those 100 photos. For every one photo used there’s roughly eight versions of that photo that went unused. There are over 900 photos in this section that you can see by flicking through these galleries.

At first glance these photos might all look identical but I can assure
you that is not the case. Some photos have changes in the lighting. Sometimes I’d have the camera tilted so the alignment was just
slightly off. Sometimes I wouldn’t have decided what angle I wanted
the shot from and so I’d try out different options. And sometimes it
was something as simple as my hand shaking so the image would come out blurry.
It was a very frustrating process but in the end it was well worth it. These photos gave the environment the toys are in a sense of real space. I feel this helps with the narrative that this is a fictional
magical story, grounded in my reality.
