| Pencil Work
These are some of my pencil illustrations I did as part of a college project. The first two exercises were about establishing mood and tone, and also leading the viewer's eye. The last three are all part of the same exercise. I had to choose an object and create a character based off of it. I chose shells. I could see a little racoon-looking face in the last shell I drew, so I combined the shape and textures of all three shells to create my little creature.
| Fear Prompts
For this exercise I got prompts that all began with “the fear of...”
and I had to create illustrations inspired by these. This is where
I first created my character Dolly, who has become a bit of a
mascot in my work.
